Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of the clinical data platform architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Data Integration: Oversee the integration of diverse data using standards such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, OMIX, CDISC, HL7 FHIR, and others.
Interoperability: Ensure seamless interoperability with existing healthcare systems, leveraging standards like HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE profiles.
Platform Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to develop platform components and APIs.
Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, and patient advocacy groups to understand requirements and ensure the platform meets diverse needs.
Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, or similar role in healthcare IT, preferably in designing clinical data platforms.
Expertise in healthcare data standards such as CDISC (CDASH, SDTM), HL7 (v2, v3, FHIR), DICOM, and other relevant standards.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with cloud-based architecture (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in healthcare data analytics is a strong plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
